My review and comments on METRO's group "Future Store"

First of all, i have to say i am fascinated by the ideas in the video. Imagine how convenient it could be if the technology implemented soon. Now, let me sort out all things and technology in order of appearance.
First thing you'll see in the video is the Smart Fridge which can tell you what products are running out of stock. Its just great because you don't have to inspect your fridge once in a while to check whats lacking and whats not. My only comment its just i hope that the detectors didn't run 24 hours a day because it will be consuming a lot of electricity. The detectors only online when someone opens the door and offline when someone close the door. Next, is the Smart Washing Machine. This is what i am looking for! Because i don't really know about washing clothes, how to do it, what you should do and what you shouldn't. Moving on, we have Electronic Shopping List. I think this one linked to Smart Fridge which will put the list of products you're running short in fridge. Once again, its pretty convenient to have the list automatically made for you. The list will be sent to the Future Store and your personal data will be stored in Future Card which you can use in shopping mall (the Smart Trolley) to show your needs in just one slide. Moving on, we have Smart Shelves which can detect the product that almost out of stock or misplaced in shelves. It sends the signal to a terminal and then sends the signal again to the nearest shop assistant. It makes the shop assistant/worker to respond faster. Next, the Smart Information Terminal. I love this one because its a very a good way to inform and advertise the shopper about the products everywhere. Next thing you'll see is the Smart Scales with RFID which can automatically detects the seller on the cashier. Then we have Smart Trolley which can automatically recognizes its content. It works similar like the Smart Fridge, i think. Moving on, the Smart Dressing Room. Its very convenient and fast way to try some clothes but i still prefer to try my clothes on by myself. Next, Smart Mirror. I don't really find this thing amusing because i am not a girl but i just hope that this thing is pretty accurate to visualize faces because if not, it would be a pretty messy. The last but not least, the Smart Chip implanted in every products in the store. This one really saves a lot of time! You'll no longer wait for the cashier attendant to scan your goods one by one. Now it can register your goods and prices automatically! The chip will be inactive when you pay for the goods.
Well, thats all. One thing that i notice is this technologies will consume a lot of money. I think only rich people could use this technologies. And also, this will affect the price of the goods in store. I predict the price would go up a lot, because they have to do maintenance and also consuming electricity a lot more than more. But overall, i am fascinated by the technologies shown in the video. Thanks for Dr. Dewi Agushinta and METRO group for showing me this video.
